Life can Sting...Looking Into Da Bitz and Bitez in Life that Makes Us Thanks for visiting my Bloggie! Please leave your mark here so I may remember your visit! You can leave as many markings as you like too!
June 25 “DON’T GO AROUND POINTING YOUR FINGER, MISTER!”I recently encountered some very disturbing occurrences in my current working place. People starting to take the law into their own hands, some who are more senior (at least 3-5 years in this dept) bluntly putting the blame on the juniors who are still fresh green grass just plucked from the hills. I stepped into this dump 1 year and counting to half a year more; starting from a very basic task as cleaning up the soiled toilet paper that were thrown carelessly about by the very same team who were in the same dump 3 to 5 years back. When I phrased it nicely, they were in need of administrative help, which I provided for the time being, since I was the only other female around (apart from an old nag who is deadpan about her scope to seem only wood-dust to cover the manure), but as the group developed, and expansion is in place, all hell rolled out. A new management, new arrangements, a new bull, and simply overrides the grass the older 3 members (and seemingly wiser) of the herd graze, and plant it to a new calf. If I were to term it in a manner of a construction sector, the scene would look as such: Contractor-A got the project to build a sky scraper, and with the blueprint it developed and location selected, started putting down a foundation. Happily they built, and about half the building was erected. The landowner, having some financial issues, went bankrupt and was brought over by another landowner, who discontinued the tenure of Contractor-A and got Contractor-B to continue what has been left off. So in a brusque manner of handling over what has been done, Contractor-A left Contractor-B with very little information to carry on, especially leaving out crucial information that will complete the structure of the sky scraper. In the end, Contractor-B, with very little to continue, simply start building further upwards, and finally, the whole building collapsed. Crucial information, not enough training, and not given enough time to slowly expand properly, is what will result in the current situation I encountered. And I hope it will really go down like that sky scraper, then the impact will be felt, and the attention will be refocused back to the dump. What I mentioned here can be applied to any aspect of life, from the way a business would rise, to the way the Earth would crumble. It is a cycle that cannot be broken, and if it is broken and refitted improperly, the wheel will still breakdown in the end. Let’s hope this be a lesson well learnt to all readers who cared to read about this article. My rant ends here. Note: No part of this text may be reused, as I would count this article to be original text. March 21 There goes my Earth Hour Sign :)
Yes I know it’s a little hard to accept, and also a little hard for the Government to help out on this issue, but if every little bit counts, and everyone put their mind to it, it can work, and it will save the Earth. That’s for today; I haven’t had much inspiration recently, and I ponder on it; why? I’ll come up with the answers to it soon, I’m very sure… For now to my dear friends E and C, I hope a little time out, a little soul searching will yield the answer to the pondering question you guys are facing; and I’ll gladly lend my ever listening ear to your woes. March 16 Supporting Earth Hour people?Yes I am in on supporting Singapore's very own Earth Hour! This is where Singapore will join the likes of many other Nations in the fight to conserve energy and to fight Global Warming. But I sometimes wonder: has Singapore done enough to conserve energy? Just take a very simple test: we all know that street lights and many other types of lighting consume energy as well as emitting heat. When you happen to arrive into Singapore at night via aeroplane, you will notice the skies surrounding the tiny island where you are about to land 5 minutes later, is bright and illuminates a reddish brown glow. It's not just a small spot but I dare say the whole island is illuminated! To me, I believe that we do use up a lot of unnecessary energy in the night!
Well, I have here a simple solution to this issue, and I hope the government might want to consider it... Highway lightings, though it be very useful to illuminate the route to which cars can easily navigate, I think that it would not hurt to light up alternate lamps at certain period of time, say like lamp 1, 3, 5, 7, 9...etc turn on this 2 weeks, and then lamp 2, 4, 6, 8, 10..etc to turn on next 2 weeks, and vice versa. This will ensure sufficient lighting along the roads anywhere, as well as saving at least 1/3 lighting energy. Car lamps are more than sufficient to light up its own route, so it should not pose trouble. (The only kind of trouble I can think that causes accidents are reckless driving; all the drivers' fault, got nothing to do with LTA).
I'm sure with this implemented; the government could also do some savings on their side: lesser fuel to burn for energy, lesser bulbs to change, can reduce resources to do the maintenance...etc. Best of all, saves the environment!
I hope this gets across to them though, or efforts I work on, is nothing but hopeless waste to the drains.. March 10 Swoon!!!!Well, as luck has it goes, one of my co-friend, suddenly felt light to the head and swoon when he was about to leave for work! Bless his mom and dad who were quick to respond, got him on to a little red and white van tothe nearest Hospital. (Best I would think of: TTSH :) hahaha...)
Well, call me evil, or just plain sadist and I could care less! I just think of it as a pretty laughable matter; basically my guess would be that he probably had a low level of glucose in his red river system, or simply just fatigue, which can happen to anyone who didn't have a good enough rest, no matter how much he/she claim to have slept.
Naturally, everyone at the workshop just started swooning in an act!
It was not fun to be sick, I'd admit; but it was damn hilarious!
February 08 What a feaking week!I am so over the top this week. First to come is a big of a flu that went to full bloom cough, big headache and all wasted out. Then came one irritating issue when i send my friend over to Turf club to get his car. it's raining and all, so the roads are slippery. This car is turning out from a side road to the main road, which is where I was driving. I am very sure she didn't check her road condition properly before attempting to make a turn, or that she was too confident that her car, bring mroe powerful than my small one, can turn out successfully. Bad choice of action I must say; for even when I put on my best foot down to the brakes, i cannot match with the slippery roads and banged onto her rear right just as she was finishing her turn. I'm totally shaken from this experience but my friend, being a hot-head, was angry that she didn't even give damn about my on-coming car, and just turn out when i was probably 50m away from her. She still claim that I was i the wrong. At that time, I'm still shaken from the incident, and still recovering from my illness I just find that bikering between her and my friend very irritating indeed, well, most of the time i kept to myself.
but it's all the more irritating when she wants to claim from my insurence over such small little scratches. So it's time to payback. I'm gonna make her eat her words. |
My Wishes for the year, who will grant them??
